Jodie Koszegi's association with The Honors College began as an undergraduate in 1983. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston in political science, Koszegi entered the university's Law Center and earned her J.D. in 1990. For eight years, she served as The Honors College coordinator of academic services. The multifaceted position of recruiter, admissions officer, and primary academic advisor allowed her to shepherd Honors students from their first summer orientation to graduation. Koszegi is a recipient of the George Magner Award for excellence in undergraduate advising and The Honors College Distinguished Service Award. As assistant dean of The Honors College, she continues her work in undergraduate academic affairs and devotes herself to a variety of special projects, including establishing UH's new Terry Scholars chapter.
