Martin "Marty" Breverman ('74)

Marty Breverman is a 1974 alumnus of the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He has been in the foodservice business since 1964.

Marty currently owns Cosmos Grill, which was established in 1993. He is the principal of CRC (Creative Restaurant Consultants) Placement, a restaurant management recruiting firm. He also is on staff at a restaurant design firm, Design Development Company of Agoura Hills, California, as a restaurant kitchen design consultant.

Marty's vast knowledge of the restaurant industry and personal demeanor are key factors in his success. He is a sought-after restaurant consultant who has helped streamline and improve the operations of dozens of eating establishments and large restaurant chains throughout the country.

Some of his past positions include executive vice president of Hungry Tiger Seafood Restaurants in Los Angeles; vice president of foodservices for Carter Hawley Hale, Inc. Emporium Capwell in San Francisco; and owner and president of Real Italian Inc., Louise's Trattoria, in Los Angeles, as well as chairman of the board of Louise's Trattoria.

Marty has designed and developed a variety of restaurants and foodservice facilities in the United States and abroad, including the Los Angeles Music Center and foodservice at the J. Paul Getty Museum, Breakers Seafood Restaurants, Pavilion Catering, The Grille, The Outrageous Shop, Cupertino, and Tiger Seafood Restaurants in Tokyo, Japan. He has opened more than 50 successful restaurant operations in his career.

Marty is a member of the California Restaurant Association, Wine Institute of America and Society of Bacchus. He has been a speaker for the National Restaurant Show, the Multi-Unit Foodservice Operators (MUFSO) Conference and the National Retailers Association. He has also been an instructor at the American College for Hotel and Restaurant Management in Los Angeles.

In his spare time Marty enjoys painting, boating, wakeboarding and spending time with his four boys and his wife, Lindy. He has served as a director for Temple Etz Chaim, and is a board director for the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Marty is a member of the Westlake Village Art Guild and serves as a restaurant reviewer for the local newspaper, The Acorn.
