As announced in February, Barron’s will be closed for the rest of the year while upgrades are made. But that doesn’t mean you have to take Barron’s off your lunch list! Barron’s will be “popping up” with different menus each week through April 21. Check out P.U.B. – Pop Up Barron’s – now on the patio outside of Cougar Grounds! A variety of curries – Palak Paneer and Tikka Masala – are on the menu March 27 – 31. Join us from noon to 1:30 p.m. for a taste of India!
But Barron's isn't just a great place to meet friends for tasty food—it also gives our students a unique opportunity to learn the ropes of running a restaurant. Barron's—named after Barron Hilton, son of Conrad N. Hilton—is managed entirely by Hilton College students, who plan, cook, serve and run every aspect of the restaurant.
Students from the College's Food and Beverage Service class staff the restaurant, and students from the Advanced Food and Beverage Management class manage the operation. All gratuities go toward equipment and supplies for the Barron's kitchen.
Located in the College’s South Wing next to Cougar Grounds, Barron’s is open to the public for lunch, Monday-Friday from 12-1:30 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. No reservations necessary. Because this restaurant is a lab, operating hours cannot be extended. However, if you need to eat earlier, reservations for 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. can be made 24 hours in advance by calling 713.743.743.2558 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
