Schedule your appointment as early as possible as the clinic may become very busy, leaving few available appointment slots. Psychiatry Clinic visits are only available for currently enrolled UH students.

You should plan to arrive about 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow enough time to complete the check-in process. If you arrive late for your appointment and complete the check-in process 10 minutes or more past your scheduled appointment time, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and will be charged a Late Cancelation/No Show fee.

Initial evaluations range from 60 to 90 minutes, with follow-up visits consisting of 30 min. You must be a currently enrolled student to be seen in the psychiatry clinic. Students must show picture ID and payment is due at the time of visit. Routine fees for Psychiatry Clinic are as follows:

  • Evaluation (60-90 minutes): $40.00
  • Extended Follow-Up  (> 30 minutes): $40.00
  • Standard Follow-Up (< 30minutes): $20.00

It is our policy to work in collaboration with you to ensure that you are receiving your medication as prescribed.  To get refills on medication, students must see the psychiatrist regularly for follow-up appointments.  In order to provide quality care, we need to monitor your condition and ensure your compliance with medication.

If appointments are repeatedly cancelled, prescription refill requests will not be authorized.

A prescription may be replaced one time if the original prescription is lost, stolen, or misplaced.  Refills will not be authorized if you “run out early”, as you are responsible for taking your medication as prescribed by your physician or notifying the physician of changes.
