College of TechnologyDepartment of Engineering TechnologySpecial Admission RequirementsMaster of Technology in Engineering Technology — Construction Management TechnologyMaster of Technology in Engineering Technology — Network Communications In addition to the College of Technology admission requirements, applicants for the Master of Technology in Engineering Technology must submit scores from the verbal, math, and analytical writing portions of the GRE exam. To be eligible for unconditional admission, the baccalaureate degree should be from a technology program that is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). Master of Technology in Engineering Technology — Construction Management Technology applicants may also be eligible for unconditional admission if their baccalaureate degrees are from a technology program accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). Master of Technology in Engineering Technology — Network Communications applicants will receive preference with at least one year of relevant industrial/teaching experience and TAC-ABET accredited technology degree. Conditional admission will be considered for applicants who do not have TAC-ABET-or ACCE-accredited technology degrees based on the completion of qualification course work. Applicants must provide three letters of reference and submit a brief statement of career goals and objectives.
Degree RequirementsDepending on their interests, students may select either the thesis option or the project option. Project and thesis guidelines, specifying other requirements, are updated regularly and are available from the department office.
