Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture

Admission Requirements

Each person seeking admission to the graduate programs in the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture must meet the general requirements for graduate study at the University of Houston, and must submit an application for graduate studies, two copies of all official transcripts, GRE scores, and three letters of recommendation as well as a resume and a completed Applicant Questionnaire. The applicant should refer to the University of Houston and College of Architecture Web sites for detailed information.

Application Fee

In addition to the general requirements outlined above, the applicant should refer to the specific application requirements for the entrance level appropriate to his or her background. The College of Architecture requires a $50 graduate application fee. International applicants must submit an additional $75 in addition to the $50 graduate application fee.

Deadline for Admissions. The deadline for receipt of all application material for fall admission to the College of Architecture is February 1. The deadline for receipt of application material for spring admission to this program is October 1. Prospective applicants should consult the College of Architecture before applying for the spring semester.
