How to Apply

  1. Apply on-line through the Texas Common Application. The Application Fee varies by department or program. Some graduate school departments require an additional fee for processing the application. Detailed instructions on filling out the application form can be found on the admissions application instructions portion of the Apply Texas site.

  2. Two official transcripts which reflect at least the last sixty semester credit hours of course work or the equivalent. Evidence of degree awarded, if applicable, must be reflected on the transcript

  3. The appropriate standardized test scores for the desired program (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, OAT, PCAT, MAT) in addition to the TOEFL and the TSE, SPEAK or FSI as appropriate. The University of Houston requires official copies of test scores (released by the testing agency or as documented on an official transcript from an accredited college or university).

  4. Letters of reference and/or personal resumes.

The colleges and departments may impose additional requirements for application. Please contact the graduate coordinator or advisor at the college you seek to gain admission to for further information regarding admission requirements
