The Graduate School cultivates and supports academic excellence in graduate and professional education at the University of Houston. The University of Houston is a Carnegie Tier One Research University hosting an array of graduate and professional degrees in the Colleges of Architecture, Business, Education, Engineering, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Law, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Optometry, Pharmacy, Technology and The Graduate College of Social Work. These colleges and schools offer master's degrees in 133 fields and doctoral degrees in 62 fields.

The UH Center for STEM Teacher Learning was established with a grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The two-year, $400,000 award allows for research and coordination of STEM professional development tools.

Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy students from the UH College of Pharmacy won the third-place in the Student Research Competition at the Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.

Hilton College PhD

Conrad Hilton College PhD Program

Students at the Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management will soon be able to pursue doctoral studies. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved a Ph.D. in Hospitality Administration at Hilton College to begin in fall 2015.
