6325: Statistics in Anthropology
Cr. 3. (3-0). This course is an introduction to quantitative analyses and to statistical methods that are appropriate to the data and problems of anthropology. No prior statistical knowledge is required.

6326: Cultural Construction of HIV
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: graduate standing in anthropology or consent of instructor. History of the disease and its epidemiology, the development of theories concerning its etiology, public health issues and the cultural, social, and psychological dimensions of AIDS.

6337: Anthropology of the Life Cycle and Aging
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: graduate standing in anthropology. In cross-cultural and historical perspective, this course explores the meaning of growing "older" in different cultures and societies.

Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: graduate standing in anthropology. Exploration of the relationship of human cultural behavior to the natural environment, with both ethnographic and archaelogical samples.

6342: Food and Culture
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: graduate standing in anthropology. The relationship of food to humans through its biological, social, economic, political, and symbolic roles.
