Admission Requirements: College of Architecture
Each person seeking admission to the graduate programs in the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture must meet the general requirements for graduate study at the University of Houston, and must submit an application for graduate studies, two copies of all official transcripts, GRE scores, and three letters of recommendation as well as a resume and a completed Applicant Questionnaire. The applicant should refer to the University of Houston and College of Architecture Web sites for detailed information.
In addition to the general requirements outlined above, the applicant should refer to the specific application requirements for the entrance level appropriate to his or her background. The College of Architecture requires a $50 graduate application fee. International applicants must submit an additional $75 in addition to the $50 graduate application fee.
Deadline for Admission
A priority deadline for receipt of all application material for Fall admission to the College of Architecture is October 1. The regular deadline for Fall admission is February 1. Spring admission is not available.
Post-professional and advanced study degree seeking students may apply for summer admission. Interested applicants should contact an Academic Advisor in the College of Architecture at (713) 743-3463 for additional information.
