6198:6298:6398: Special Problems
Cr. 1-3 per semester. Prerequisites: Graduate standing and approval of department chair.

6311: Introduction to Future Studies
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: Graduate standing. An introduction to the methods, practitioners and issues of futures research.

6319: Proseminar in Futures Studies
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: TECH 6311, or consent of instructor. A review of futures studies as a professional discipline and practice, including the latest techniques and the ethics of professional practice.

6351: Futures Research
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: Tech 6311 and HRD 6300, or consent of instructor. An introduction to and practice in the tools and techniques used in traditional and in alternative futures forecasting.

6353: Scenarios and Visions
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: TECH 6311, or consent of instructor. An overview of the important qualitative techniques of visioning and scenario development.

6360: Experimental Design and Data Analysis
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: MATH 1432, TMTH 3360 or equivalent. Standard experimental design and the corresponding data analysis techniques. Application of the computer for data analysis tools including standard statistics application programs. Emphasis on interpretation of data sets resulting from experimentation in the fields of electronics, manufacturing, and construction management.

6371: World Futures
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: TECH 6311, or consent of instructor. A review of global trends shaping the future, including the most important demographic, environmental, technological, economic, political, and cultural changes.

6397: Selected Topics in Technology
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: Graduate standing and approval of department chair. May be repeated with approval of the department chair.
