Master of Technology in Engineering Technology

The Master of TEchnology in Engineering Technology currently offers two emphases, one in Construction Management Technology and the other in Network Communications. The Engineering Technology degree studies current issues in technology, project management and experimental design and data analysis.

Master of Technology in Engineering Technology — Construction Management Technology

Advisor: Dr. Lingguang Song

The Construction Management Master's degree program provides the knowledge and skills essential for successful leaadership positions in the construction industry. The curriculum focuses on both fundamental knowledge and advanced topics. Fundamental courses include estimating, scheduling, contracting, and project management and advanced courses include risk analysis, decision making, computer applications in construction, sustainability and green construction, quality management, and Six-Sigma. Our graduates are prepared to work in the construction industry and in academia.

Master of Technology in Engineering Technology — Network Communications

Advisor: Dr. Deniz Gurkan

This degree emphasis builds upon TAC-ABET-accredited baccalaureate degree programs in the fields of computer, electronic, or electrical engineering technology, and related fields. This program provides advanced knowledge of communications between computer networks, including data processing in the network environment, network operations software and operating systems, and communication systems. This emphasis will focus on topics such as sensor networking, optical networks, biomedical networks, network security, network management, and project management. Graduates are prepared to be network communications specialists, and technology instructors for educational institutions offering baccalaureate and associate degree programs.
