Pre-Optometry
Prospective students are strongly encouraged to contact the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions to discuss the requirements for admission to the College of Optometry. Counseling is available for prospective students to incorporate the required prerequisite course work for the College of Optometry into their degree plans.
Pre-Optometry Professional Society (POPS)
University of Houston undergraduate students with an interest in optometry are encouraged to join the Pre-Optometry Professional Society (POPS). POPS members meet frequently and maintain a constant dialogue with the College of Optometry. The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions serves as the faculty liaison for POPS.
