General Information
The College of Technology has provided relevant, applications-oriented
undergraduate education covering a broad spectrum of disciplines for over 50
years and continues this activity into graduate programs at the master's level.
The master's degrees provide graduates with advanced education directed at
career opportunities in two distinct paths. One path is related to the
application of state-of-the-art technology in the major discipline to the needs
of business and industry as well as educational institutions. The second path
combines technological and pedagogical education to prepare teachers and
training development personnel for postsecondary education and industrial
training and supervision careers.
The Master of Technology (MT) is offered with three majors: Construction
Management Technology in the Civil, Mechanical, and Related Technologies (CMRT)
Department; Manufacturing Systems Technology in the CMRT Department; and
Microcomputer Systems Technology in the Electrical-Electronics Technology
(ELET) Department. The nature of the degree, admission requirements, and course
requirements are described in the following sections.
The Master of Science in Occupational Technology (MSOT) is offered in the
Industrial Technology (ITEC) Department. The nature of the degree, admission
requirements, and course requirements are described in the following sections. Last Updated:
