Master of Science in Occupational Technology Special Admission Requirements

In addition to the general college admission requirements, applicants for the Master of Science in Occupational Technology degree must submit transcripts of all college-level course credit. Students must also submit scores from either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), or the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Also, students may be required to complete prerequisite courses.

Degree Requirements

The degree program requires all students to complete courses in an occupational technology core, an occupational technology area of emphasis, and electives. The occupational technology major allows students to concentrate their studies in areas such as general occupational technology/ industrial studies (including trade and industry), business education (including information systems technology), marketing education, supervision, and training and development. Students may elect a thesis or non-thesis option. Program and thesis guides specifying other requirements are updated regularly and are available from the department office.
