General Information

The College of Social Sciences offers graduate programs in five departments that provide advanced academic instruction and involve students in research activities. While working on research with professors, students acquire both the spirit and the knowledge of methods of scholarship. The anthropology, economics, political science, psychology, and sociology departments offer graduate training in newly developed behavioral methods, and theory and policy approaches to the study of the social sciences. The programs include the Master of Arts degree in anthropology, economics, political science, public administration, and sociology; and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in economics, political science, and psychology.

The College of Social Sciences sets minimum program and admission regulations that must be fulfilled by all graduate students. Individual departments may have additional special requirements.
