Tuition and Fees

The University of Houston is a state-assisted institution. For Texas residents, tuition for the 1997-98 school year is $68 per semester hour or $2,380 for the academic year. THE 1997-98 tuition for nonresidents is $333 per semester hour or $11,655 for the academic year. The course load for the first year of pharmacy school is 35 semester hours for full-time students.

Approximately $800 in fees is also required each semester for full-time students. Tuition and fees are set by the Texas Legislature and the University of Houston System Board of Regents and are subject to change without notice. The state legislature has provided two options for payment of fees during regular semesters. You may pay the balance in full or in three installments. You may pay in cash or by check or money order payable to the University of Houston.
