Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management

Admissions Requirements

Candidates are evaluated on their previous academic records, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, hospitality experience, and oral and written English skills. Verbal, quantitative, and analytical scores are examined separately and are evaluated as one informational source in the total graduate application.

Applicants should have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (A=4.0) for the last 60 semester hours of either graduate or undergraduate work. The college will accept GRE or GMAT examination scores. GRE or GMAT scores must be within an acceptable percentile. International applicants should receive a score of 600 or greater on the TOEFL examination and must possess a U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree program. All applicants should submit official transcripts with degree conferral, test scores, a personal statement, a current resume, and three letters of reference in support of their application. Letters should be from individuals familiar with the applicant's academic and professional abilities, and all materials must be sent to the Graduate Advisor at the Conrad N. Hilton College. The college requires that all applicants submit a non-refundable application processing fee of $25.00 with the completed application for admission.

Postbaccalaureate Students
Students who have earned one or more baccalaureate or higher degrees at an accredited institution and who is seeking this classification rather than the graduate status must apply to the Office of Admissions.

Postbaccalaureate students may petition to enroll in graduate level course work through the Office of Graduate Programs. Should a postbaccalaureate student gain admission into the M.H.M. program, a maximum of nine credit hours of graduate-level course work will be accepted toward the graduate degree plan.
