of musical structure.
6304: Choral Arranging

postbaccalaureate status with permission of instructor. Study and application
of the principles of part writing, arranging, and editing music for various
voice groupings.
6305: Schenkerian Analysis

music. Reductive analysis, levels of structure in tonal music, and graphing
techniques.
6306: Analysis of Post-Tonal Music

standing in music. Set theory, serial theory, 12-tone operations.

differing performance practices in various periods of music history through
examination of treatises and other historical documents, scores, and
