conditions: focus upon both neurological and sensory handicaps, especially the
impact of these conditions on school-age learners.

Investigates developmental and cognitive characteristics of autistic children.

The application of linear models to educational research. Topics include
the general linear model, multiple regression, analysis of variance and
covariance, trend analysis, path analysis, computer applications.
8322: Inferential Statistics in Educational Research Cr. 3. (3-0).
Prerequisite: EPSY 7322 or equivalent. Statistical inference, including
probability, sampling, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, power, one-way
and two-way analysis of variance, comparisons and contrasts, experimental
design fundamentals, computer applications.

Prerequisite: EPSY 8322. Survey of factor analytic literature in education with
emphasis on appropriate application.

EPSY 8322. Understanding multivariate procedures and their applications to
educational research; includes canonical correlation, discriminant analysis,
multivariate analysis of variance, and related topics.
8325: Design and Analysis of Educational Experiments Cr. 3. (3-0).
Prerequisite: EPSY 8322. Special requirements of educational research for
statistical designs, advanced topics in analysis of variance, incomplete
comparisons, hierarchical models, and subject attrition.
8326: Nonparametric and Distribution-Free Statistics in Educational Research
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: EPSY 8322. Introduction of suitable alternatives to
classical statistical procedures when distribution properties, scaling level,
or both, of dependent variables prohibits application of continuous sampling
distributions.
8327: Measuring Change and Analyzing Repeated-Measures Experimental Designs in
Educational Research Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: EPSY 8322. Alternative
techniques for measuring change and analyzing data associated with
repeated-measures experiments are examined; special emphasis given to defining
change across multiple occasions.
