College of Business Administration The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree is a fully-accredited curriculum that prepares students with the professional skills necessary to manage a modern business enterprise. The degree program emphasizes practices that benefit the individual, the organization, and the social and economic environment. In addition, the curriculum requires students to master topics in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, production, quantitative methods, computer applications, management, and corporate strategy and policies. Students may select areas of concentration in accounting, finance, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, operations management, statistics and operations research, and taxation. While there are an estimated 668 institutions granting graduate degrees in management, the University of Houston is one of approximately 335 colleges whose master's program is accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
