The Executive Program Option

The Executive Program Option for the M.B.A. degree is designed for experienced managers and executives sponsored by organizations. The program includes the same course requirements and contact hours as the M.B.A. curriculum, but courses are scheduled on alternating Fridays and Saturdays, with a series of optional executive enrichment activities for participants. The program's objectives are to prepare participants for undertaking managerial assignments that require a heightened level of responsibility; a sharpening of the participant's managerial skills; and an increased understanding of the political, social, and economic forces that affect a career executive's future. The program provides an opportunity for educational enhancement without an interruption to the students' professional careers.

In addition to the college's admission requirements, the Executive Program Option has the following requirements:

1. Letters of appraisal from professional sources familiar with the applicant's background and potential for advancement;

2. An interview with program staff conducted at the University of Houston; and
