About Us

GLOBAL is the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender) and supporters student group at the University of Houston Main Campus. Everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, is welcome to come to our meetings and hang out.

Club dues are $5 per semester, with a $10 charge per t-shirt.

GLOBAL's weekly meetings are Thursday at 6:00 PM. This semester, all meetings are held in the Mediterranean Room. To get to the Mediterranean Room (Room 91), go down to the bottom level of the UC (University Center) and go through the double doors behind the stairs. Head right along the wall and take the first hallway right. The Mediterranean Room is the first room on the right.

Meetings are usually about an hour long and are normally followed by an unofficial after-event. Usually this means going out to a reasonably-price restaurant. It is expected for everyone to pay their own way. Sometimes we'll make special plans ahead of time to go to a club, movie or special event.

Carrel Hours

The GLOBAL office is located in front of the right side door of Campus Activities in Room 51P the UC Underground.  We need to log in at least 13 hours per week, so if you're just hanging out there, be sure that someone is signed in, and that they sign out before they leave.
