The Jump helps incoming freshman get "a jump" on college life by offering the opportunity to complete two courses before the beginning of their first semester. Students will earn a total of six hours of credit towards their college degree.
Registration is closed.
The deadline to enroll was Friday, June 13th.
The cost for The Jump is approximately $725 – That’s 2 courses for the price of one! Payment is due by July 1. If you choose to drop on or before July 7th, you’ll get a 100% refund. A limited amount of on-campus housing is also available.
To be eligible for The Jump, you must be TSI (Texas Success Initiative) exempt or have successfully passed the THEA. You must be deemed a Texas resident for tuition purposes to apply. You must also have been accepted to the UH Main Campus through UH Admissions. Not sure about your TSI status? Find out more about TSI.
You will choose either English or Math and either History or US Government. Each course applies toward required core courses for every college and major.
