Responsible for promoting the event to all constituencies of the University of Houston and the greater Houston
community through various mediums such as: public service announcements, flyers, radio, newspaper, television and social
media sites such as Twitter and Facebook. The directors are also in charge of the advertisement, printing, and layout of
the Fiesta newspaper, The Gazette.

Responsible for sponsorships, the silent auction, and committeemen.

Director of Cook–Off
Responsible for the recruitment of the cook-off teams. The director organizes layout, forms, the Cookbook, judging,
and awards. The Director of Cook–off also oversees the recruitment of judges and volunteers.

Cynthia Orobio
Director of Productions
Responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of all persons, organizations, groups, businesses, etc.
who wish to participate in Frontier Fiesta in any form including: Variety Show, Carnival Booth, Live entertainment,
pavilion, all access or any other event.

M. Gonzalo Lombard Benito
Director of Operations
Responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of all aspects connected to the physical site of Fiesta
City including site planning, construction, building codes, utilities, permits, safety, accessibility, and clean up.
The director also oversees the warehouse and its maintenance.

Responsible for awarding the high school, undergraduate, and graduate scholarships.

Brianna Mills
Chief of Staff
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the day to day operations of the Frontier Fiesta office to include: ensuring
personnel under their charge and are conducting their assigned responsibilities, notifying all Board members of meeting
times, planning meetings and producing agenda, and coordinating all volunteers for Frontier Fiesta. The Chief of Staff
Works directly under the Frontier Fiesta Chair.
