Are you
the pride? Prove it. UH Marketing & Communication's official student
organization, UH Pride Ambassadors will be hosting "T-shirt trade-up" events this
spring '11 semester. Students, faculty, staff and members of the community are
encouraged to trade old T-shirts representing other colleges or universities
for a new University of Houston T-shirt. All other schools' shirts will be donated
to serve the community.
TOSS Proclamation
WHEREAS, the UH
Pride Ambassadors is a student organization dedicated to creating and spreading
the "buzz" about the University of Houston; and
WHEREAS, members of the UH Pride Ambassadors are hand-selected to implement student-run projects that bolster the university's reputation of academic excellence; and
WHEREAS, the UH Pride Ambassadors are proud of their university and proud to be Cougars; and
WHEREAS, the UH Pride Ambassadors are personally committed to instilling a new campus culture of university pride; and
WHEREAS, the UH Pride Ambassadors want students to not only feel the pride, but show their pride; and
WHEREAS, the UH Pride Ambassadors are personally offended to see other schools' shirts on campus; and
WHEREAS, the UH Pride Ambassadors would rather see Cougar red spread throughout the campus and the community; and
WHEREAS, the Trade Other Schools' Shirts (TOSS) events have been a successful means of getting Cougar fans to trade up shirts from other colleges and universities in exchange for new UH shirts; and
WHEREAS, all other schools' shirts will be donated to serve the community; and
WHEREAS, those efforts should be continued, now, therefore,
LET IT BE KNOWN, that the UH Pride Ambassadors will be hosting TOSS events across campus and in the community throughout the spring semester in an effort to spread Cougar pride across Houston.

Donation Process
All trade-up T-shirts are donated to Goodwill Houston (GH) and recycled. Over ninety percent of all GH funds grossed, including gifts, donations, and other contributions
are redistributed to serve the Greater Houston Area, providing
education, training and job opportunities to people with disabilities and other
barriers to employment, improving the lives of individuals, families and
communities.
