Bass Section Leader

The music bug bit Maxim Bitner at the age of 5. The Houston native has been playing piano since he was a child but did not fully explore his vocal talents until high school. Although Bitner performed with choirs in elementary and middle school, his first voice lessons were taken as a high school senior. After graduating, he was instantly attracted to the vocal performance program at UH. This fall, he will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and plans to return to the university to pursue a graduate degree.

“At the Moores School of Music, I have found nothing but support from the faculty and my colleagues. These are people that sincerely wish you to succeed,” Bitner said.
