Dr. Spiegelman is the Hughes Distinguished Professor of English at SMU and the long-time editor-in-chief of The Southwest Review. He is the author of five works of literary criticism, two volumes of tapes for The Teaching Company, the editor of the letters of Amy Clampitt, and a frequent contributor to the Leisure & Arts pages of The Wall Street Journal.
