Dynamic Duo

Pamela Newman’s (’74) UH experience was a quick one. She zipped through both her undergraduate and graduate degrees and went on to become a teacher. Her husband Patrick (’69), however, admits to “taking a try or two” at UH before completing his bachelor’s degree in psychology and becoming a successful sales professional.

One thing both of the Newmans have in common with regard to UH is their gratitude. Both have exhibited their appreciation to the university by including it in their wills.

“Education has been very important to both of us,” says Pamela. “This gift is a way to make some dreams come true for kids who may not have anyone to encourage them, to help them fulfill their needs.”
