2013 FDIP Pre-Proposal Application Instructions

Deadline: Feb 1, 2013

Thanks for your interest in submitting an FDIP pre-proposal. If you haven’t already done so, please consult the Call for Proposals for background information on the focus for this year’s competition, as well as for selection criteria.

Eligibility Requirements
All full-time UH faculty (tenured, tenure-track, instructional, clinical) including full-time, adjunct, and instructional faculty are eligible to apply as the principle investigator. Adjunct and other part-time faculty are eligible to be included in the budget proposal for funding. Faculty may contribute to multiple proposals.

Directions
Pre-proposals should be no more than four single-spaced pages in length (exclusive of budget and biographical sketches), and should include a project overview, a project description, a project timeline, and an assessment plan. Pre-proposals should also include a budget and budget justification, as well as a short biographical sketch of the project personnel. The bio-sketch should contain information relevant to the proposal—courses taught, training attended, details about disciplinary expertise, and so on, but need not be longer than one page in length.

Complete pre-proposals should be submitted as a single pdf document by attaching the PDF document to an email to thoskings@uh.edu.

Notification
Those who submit successful pre-proposals will be contacted by Feb. 15 to begin the process of developing full proposals. These proposals will be drawn up in collaboration with project staff.
