Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Jamison Kovach (College of Technology) will present “Enhancing Learning through Techality”. Click here for an abstract and bio for Dr. Kovach!
Central and College Instructional Designers will share instructional tools and resources available to all faculty. Learn how technology can enhance the teaching and learning experience. Learn about the QEP and FDIP Grant Programs – what it is and how the application process works. Tools to be highlighted include:
- Turning Point (UH supported Student Response System);
- Turnitin (anti-plagiarism and GradeMark tool);
- Wimba Live Classroom (webinar delivery and archive);
- BlackBoard Vista & Learn (UH supported Content Management System);
- and Podcasting/YouTube.
Lunch will provide faculty a chance to meet with college Instructional Design and Blackboard support staff! Interact with your peers and find out what others are doing in their classes. This is a good chance to talk about some of the ideas you might have, to see how they can be supported!
After lunch, you will have a chance to meet with faculty presenting their experience using the tools you’ve been hearing about.
