What is an Academic Testing Lab?

Computer-based tests administered in the ATL are course associated or academic tests that would usually be administered in the classroom in paper format. Because they are testing center, ATLs are not instruction spaces; the labs are configured such that students from multiple courses use them at once for quiet, secure test taking.

This lab process may not accommodate every testing need. If the lab setting does not meet your exam needs, then contact an Instructional Designer for other options. You can find a list of designers at: http://www.uh.edu/fdis/id/teams.

Who can use the Academic Testing Labs?

Any Academic courses on campus may schedule an exam to be taken in one of the labs.

Keeping in mind that the ATL is not an open computer lab, all exams will need to be spread out over several time slots, which may include several days depending upon the total enrollment of a course.
