The University of Houston System has undertaken the replacement of its current financial systems with PeopleSoft 7.5 Financials for Education and Government. The first phase of the project has been designated as Release 1, and consists of the implementation of PeopleSoft 7.5 General Ledger, Payables and Purchasing application for Education and Government at the four campuses of University of Houston System.

Additional applications, including Accounts Receivable, Asset Management , Billing, Inventory and Project Costing, are scheduled for implementation following the completion of Release 1.

Current information on the implementation is made available through this website and the Finance Project listserve, and through the communication channels established at each campus and the system administration. The Finance pages of the FAST website are organized to provide the user with convenient navigation and includes appropriate links to other areas of the FAST project.

Overview:  

The overview section provides a summary to the scope of the financial systems implementation.

Financial System Status and Calendar - including scheduled monthly closing, general ledger and financial reporting status.

Financial System Project Status - summary of the implementation of PeopleSoft Systems by University of Houston System.

 

Documentation:  

Documents related to the Finance Project are accessible for use by University of Houston System staff.

 

Training:

The training section includes a summary of the training strategy and links to class descriptions, course schedules and online registration requests.

 

Reference and Forms:  

This section provides guides for the translation of legacy accounting values to PeopleSoft financial values as well as the accounting, financial and administrative forms designed as part of the implementation.
