UH-Victoria Academic & Regional Economic Development Building (AREDB) is under construction and scheduled for a Spring 2015 opening. The building is a three-story, multi-use facility of approximately 63,000 square feet, located northeast of the Center Building, off North Ben Wilson Street. A portion of the space will be "shelled" to meet future campus needs. The facility will house classrooms, student and academic support services, allied health programs, the School of Business Administration, and the Regional Center for Economic Development. A ground breaking ceremony was held on November 20, 2013. To date, site utilities and building piers have been installed. Grade beams to support the structural slab are being installed and rough-in for plumbing and power will begin in in early March.
