Plans to design and construct a Multidisciplinary Research and Engineering building to support the University of Houston’s mission to provide Tier One research facilities has reached another milestone.

SHW Group has been selected as the project architect and Tellepsen Builders the project construction manager.

SHW Group is excited to build upon its existing relationship with the university, especially during this unique transformation as a Tier One research university with existing opportunities on the horizon and benefits for the city, state and region. The firm understands that a project of this magnitude requires state-of-the-art expertise. Solid management, innovative and sustainable design, substantial laboratory expertise, and energy efficiency are critical to the success of this project. They have carefully assembled a team of experts that have both worked as a team previously, as well as worked successfully with the university.

Tellepsen Builders is pleased to serve as the construction manager on the project to align with the university’s academic and research vision for the campus. It has a reputation for driving the facilities delivery process on multiple projects at the University of Houston, including the Health & Biomedical Sciences Center building, the University Center transformation, and the Welcome Center Student Garage.

With its unique focus on research, workforce training and industrial partnerships, the Multidisciplinary Research and Engineering building is an important asset to the greater Houston area and Tellepsen Builders is glad to be a part of the legacy.
