A section of sidewalk at the south side of the Cougar Village II construction site along Wheeler Loop Road will be temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic between Entrance 5 and 6 beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17.
The sidewalk will be excavated to connect underground public utilities to Cougar Village II. The affected area will be fenced off for the duration of the work. The anticipated completion is Jan. 14.
The fencing will cause a temporary pedestrian detour north toward campus, around the CV II construction site. Vehicular traffic along the Loop Road or Wheeler Street should not be affected.
Pedestrian detour signs will be posted, and contractor flagmen will be present. Please see the drawing for affected areas.
