Currently, EHLS conducts ergonomic assessments primarily for PC workstations. Interested employees must have their supervisor contact EHLS to request an assessment. The assessment generally consists of:
- The EHLS representative will take measurements of the workspace and evaluate it for comfort and efficiency.
- The EHLS representative will ask the worker to demonstrate their typical workstation posture and activities.
- The EHLS representative will convey general suggestions and impressions verbally at the close of the meeting.
- EHLS will send a summary memo to the employer outlining any changes in work habits or equipment required to improve comfort.
