In this book “the authors present empirical data and theoretical frameworks for why it is important to teach reading comprehension in all academic content areas and, in most cases, what strategies can be employed within the specific content areas to promote academic growth,” says Dr. Santi. “This volume focuses on our understanding of reading comprehension for adolescents in a high stakes academic environment.”

By improving the instruction of literacy and reading comprehension, Dr. Santi’s work is a great contribution not only to the College of Education, but the education community as a whole.
