Welcome to the Houston Chapter of Delta Upsilon

A fraternity is a brotherhood. The only true distinction between a fraternity and any other form of social organization is the implication that the members freely associate as equals for a mutually beneficial purpose. In the United States, fraternities in colleges date to the 1820s and since then Delta Upsilon has been at the forefront of this longevity since November 4, 1834 by being North America's first, oldest, and largest non-secret fraternity and the sixth-oldest men's general college fraternity. Delta Upsilon has instilled it's values in some of the nations most intellectual and social persons from a President of the United States to many Nobel Prize Winners. Thinking about joining? Chances are, we are not far away from your everyday life. Take a look.
Since April 28, 1973, Delta Upsilon at the University of Houston has been committed to excellence — personal excellence on the part of its members and corporate excellence within the chapter and alumni. We are committed to Building Better Men through our four founding principles - friendship, character, culture, and justice - that challenge our brothers to expect nothing less than excellence from themselves and others. There are no secrets with Delta Upsilon. No secret rituals. No secret oaths. No hazing. We are proud of what Delta Upsilon stands for and proud to be the world's only international fraternity committed to sharing our ideals, symbols, and rituals openly.
