Red Zone Awareness and Resource Fair

    11:00am – 1:00pm, Student Centers Plaza

Red Zone is a period from the beginning of the fall semester to about Thanksgiving break when sexual assaults on U.S. college campuses seem to spike. Although every student, regardless of age or gender, is at risk, freshman females are the most vulnerable. This RED ZONE event is during Weeks of Welcome (WOW) and before the first weekend of the school year. Departments will come together to help students become knowledgeable about the resources available to them before and/or after sexual misconduct occurs. Departments will help students become more aware of their surroundings so that they can have a fun and safe time here at the University of Houston. The event will include interactive activities, giveaways and a resource fair. Sponsored by the Women & Gender Resource Center.
