The University of Houston Campus Leaders Ceremony, hosted by the Center for Student Involvement, is an opportunity for the university community to recognize outstanding student leaders, individuals, organizations, and programs.

The Center for Student Involvement will recognize individuals, registered student organizations, and programs for their successes throughout the year with Leadership & Legacy Awards at the 35th annual Campus Leaders Ceremony. More than 20 awards will be announced including Distinguished leaders by classification, Rising Star, Unsung Hero, Outstanding Student Organization, and the ceremony’s highest honor, The Legacy Award. Winners were determined by a committee of judges representing the University of Houston.

“Our students never cease to amaze us with their contributions and achievements on campus and in the Houston community. The Leadership and Legacy Awards highlight the impact that student leaders have throughout the academic year. This year is especially remarkable as it notes the resilience and strength of our student leaders through this challenging time while remaining successful in their co-curricular involvements,” Dr. Tina Powellson, Director for the Center for Student Involvement.

While this event is typically held in person, in compliance with social distancing guidelines, the Center for Student Involvement will be announcing all winners via social media throughout this week, and via the Campus Leaders Reception website next week. The 36th Annual Leadership and Legacy Awards will take place on April 22, 2021. Applications for all awards will be available in early Spring 2021.
