Office of the VPSAES Welcomes New Communications Manager

January 28, 2016 – Alexsaundra Preston will join the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services as the communications manager effective February 1, 2016.

As the new communications manager, Preston will develop strategic and innovative insight to marketing programs, social media outlets, and publication services. In addition, she will also manage and coordinate the design and print of advertising and marketing material for brochures, newsletters, promotional materials, and other special programs. She will also provide and maintain progressive working relationships with external media organizations as well as the university’s media department to promote various events or programs to the university environment and the general public.

Preston brings seven years of valuable experience in the field of communications, specifically in the realm of marketing and project design. Previously, she served as the marketing assistant, graphic designer, project associate, and for the last three years as the marketing coordinator at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). In her most recent position, she oversaw the conceptualization of an average of 120 graphic design projects per year to ensure effective promotion as well as coordinated the research and design for a new student union website.

Preston earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She was a member of CSUSB Keep It On Campus Committee, CSUSB Student Affairs Awards Committee, and OrgSync Southern California Regional Team. Preston is currently an active member with the Association of College Unions International (ACUI), and has held various leadership positions.
