Diane Murphy
Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Administration
Diane Murphy directs the financial and personnel administration functions as well as three business offices that provide financial policy and procedural oversight for the Division of Student Affairs, A 35-year UH staff member, she provided the same direction within the College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communication (now, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences) for sixteen years, prior to joining the Division in January 1994.
A University of Houston Alumna, Ms Murphy is the recipient of the 1980 Chancellor's Scholarship to the Executive Development Program of the College of Business, the 1981 Staff Excellence award, and the 1990 Charles F. McElhinney Distinguished Service Award. She is a graduate of the two-year WACUBO Business Managers Institute at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Her University service has included membership and championship of numerous task forces and committees and specialized training in fund accounting, business management, human resource development, employment/unemployment, labor/management relations, affirmative action, EEO, collective bargaining, labor economics, supervisory training, manpower and program administration. Ms Murphy is a member of the University of Houston chapters of Omicron Delta Kappa Society and Phi Kappa Phi. |
