When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money raised through this event funds new research to support babies and their families within our community. Additionally, the goodwill we generate through the thousands of walkers helps raise awareness and provides valuable exposure to the university.
Let us commemorate the 75th anniversary of the March of Dimes and their endeavors through our support of their mission by putting our best foot forward! Please join us in supporting the 2013 March of Dimes' March for Babies Walk. (The primary walk is approximately 5 miles long; the shortened route is approximately 1 mile.) The University of Houston’s fundraising goal is $40,000. We encourage each of you to take part in this year's event and there are several ways for you to participate.
Connect with us on Facebook and Twitter (#UHMFB) to stay up-to-date on activities happening around campus, get motivated to march for babies and help UH reach our fundraising goal. Look for the yellow containers around campus or donate online! Spread the word to family and friends via the easy sharing apps after you register to walk. All faculty/staff who raise $50 and all students who raise $25 will receive a UH March for Babies t-shirt.
