The Dean of Students office (DOS) provides a wide-array of services and programs geared toward helping you succeed. STUDENT BEHAVIOR AND CONDUCT
It is important that all students, staff, and faculty are able to carry out their responsibilities of learning, service, and teaching in an environment conducive of respect and cooperation. As such, the University of Houston’s Student Code of Conduct serves as a foundational document to help you know in advance of what behaviors are expected of you as a student and actions and behaviors are considered “outside of the norm”.
While ID violations and disruption are just two easily identifiable policy violations, should you or anyone else have information or believe that a student has violated the Student Code of Conduct, you are required to complete an Incident Report to share this information with our office. Should you or a friend be documented for an alleged violation, know what is expected of you and how the disciplinary process works by consulting the UH Respondent’s Guide
Facing a challenge and are not sure where to turn? Finding it difficult to get a question answered? Need help navigating a university policy? Unsure of who to talk to for an emergency situation? Fear not – we have you covered! The DOS team is ready and able to assist you with both your personal and academic concerns. Whether you have a death in the family and are seeking help notifying your professors of an absence, or you are struggling to get an answer from a campus department, we have you covered. Additionally, we offer an Emergency Loan for those unforeseen circumstances that arise and may not have been budgeted for.
COMMUTER STUDENT SERVICES
With nearly 80% of UH students commuting to campus, an award-winning Commuter Assistance Program was created to provide support, resources, and information geared toward the student who is community to and from campus.
