The UH Office of Emergency Management (OEM) at the University of Houston Department of Public Safety, is primarily responsible to enhance and improve the university's preparedness for emergencies, disasters and crisis incidents. The mission of the UH OEM supports our campus community of staff, faculty, and students to ensure that as a university we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
The UH Office of Emergency Management is responsible for campus-wide emergency and business continuity planning, preparedness and outreach programs and for managing the campus Emergency Operations Center. The Office also maintains the campus Emergency Management Plan and provides technical assistance and training to the university community.
