ACADEMIC ADVISING

Academic advising is necessary to ensure that newly admitted students are in compliance with university policies and are making appropriate decisions about their academic programs. Undergraduate Scholars at UH (UScholars) Academic Advising provides advising services for undeclared students as well as assistance in making an informed decision about a major field of study. All UScholars students admitted to UH on or after Fall 2010 are required to declare a major no later than by the 30th hour (first year). Students in the major can take advantage of advising services offered through the college or department of their major. However, UScholars provides TSI advising for all undergraduate students at UH.

For advising information, new undergraduate students should contact the college or department of their major or the UScholars Academic Advising, 56 University Libraries, 832-842-2100.
