Welcome

Early registration/Orientation conferences are scheduled every fall and spring for students entering the University of Houston. The conferences address academics and student life at UH. As of summer 2008, Orientation is mandatory for all incoming freshmen and for all incoming transfer students with less than 15 hours of transferable credit.

Orientation conferences have two major objectives:

• To assist you with pre-enrollment activities for the semester (placement testing, required academic advising, course selection and registration, and tuition and fee payment procedures).
• To acquaint you with student support services and student life activities that will familiarize you with the University.
