Applications are being accepted for the 2008-2009 Undergraduate Research Travel Fellowship Program. Students who have submitted an abstract for presentation at a national or international conference are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to travel. Beginning in Spring 2009, undergraduates will be able to enroll in a slate of courses that incorporate inquiry-based pedagogy or research practicum training. The research-enhanced courses are being developed as part of the QEP Curriculum Development Grant Program. Projects supported by the program range from enhancement of core and major course to broader department and college initiatives which span multiple courses and levels. Submit your research accolades and achievements and photos to discovery@uh.edu for our Focus on Students feature. We are seeking students who have co-authored peer-reviewed papers, presented at national conferences, applied for patents, competed in research or design competitions, received prestigious fellowships, etc.
