The Gamma Sigma chapter has had the highest GPA for three of the last four semesters. We pride ourselves on the achievements of our members. At the beginning of each semester we discuss our goals for that term. We are always aiming to do better!

Last year, Delta Gammas worked hard to achieve:

-Academic Excellence Award
-After 5 Scholarship
-Dean’s List Highest GPA on Greek Row
-Honor’s College Dean’s List
-National Dean’s List
-National Honor Roll

Our goals for this semester: Increase and maintain scholastic awareness and emphasis throughout the entire year and create and promote a positive attitude toward academic success- studying, attending class, and achieving one’s potential.

The general program consists of: a Scholarship Dinner to recognize the academic achievements of women in the chapter, scholarship, fellowships, and dues grants. Our sisters with over a 3.75 receive a “Miss-An-Event-Pass.”

And there are all kinds of enrichment activities included in our program. Our director of scholarship plans educational and cultural presentations/events every month. Any woman that achieves an "A" on an exam or major paper will receives a “Smart Cookie” award and will be entered into a monthly drawing for the “A Bag” award. The director of scholarship provides study tips, vocabulary words, and other helpful items in the weekly Anchorline at chapter meetings.
